About

I'm Imran Ramzan, a platform engineering leader based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with 21 years of experience building the resilient, highly secure infrastructure that modern enterprise and AI workloads demand. My expertise spans secure Kubernetes at scale, multi-cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, Azure), and the rigorous FinOps disciplines required to keep GPU and cloud costs optimized.

Currently, I serve as Head of DevOps at CallSign, a behavioral intelligence SaaS platform powered by real-time machine learning and trusted by Tier 1 financial institutions, aviation operators, and high-volume gaming platforms worldwide.

Scale & Performance: Scaled production Kubernetes (EKS) throughput from 50 to 2,000+ TPS to support massive global traffic.

Financial Efficiency: Rebuilt and expanded the engineering team (from 6 to 14 across the UAE and UK) while slashing monthly cloud spend by ~45% on a $10M+ annual budget.

Compliance & Migration: Led a dual-cloud expansion into GCP, executed complex on-premise-to-AWS migrations, and delivered SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications in highly regulated environments.

Prior to CallSign, I spent three years as a Lead Consultant with AWS Premier Consulting Partners in Sydney. There, I directed large-scale enterprise cloud migrations, TCO analyses, and data center exits for Tier 1 banks—contributing to CMD Solutions being named AWS Migration Partner of the Year 2022.

Today, I leverage deep GCC market experience to help organizations scale safely. I am open to senior leadership opportunities across the UAE and wider GCC in Platform Engineering, DevOps Leadership, Cloud Architecture, and AI Infrastructure.
